Welcome to the "Infodim Newsletter" o The First International Exposition for Social Security (21-24th May 2009). The Infodim Company had a kisok for this event with its products for Protection/Prevention against the Fire Forest. Website of the Event o Infodim Company presented on the 30th April 2009, the "GIS Applications of the Kavala's Municipality" Project.  This project was financed by the EU with 80% and 20% with the National funds. The Infodim Company presented on the 30th April 2009, the Project with title "GIS Applications of the Kavala's Municipality". The WebGIS of the Municipality of Kavala is here o Infodim's website has new pages for the Webmapping activities. They concern the Infodim products like the WebGIS, the Catalog metadata and the INSPIRE directive application. Two video present the two different of webGIS architecture of the Infodim Company: REST and SOAP architecture. They are built with OpenSource tools like the Mapserver engine. They are in Greek, English and French. Infodim pages of webmapping is here. o Infodim will deliver two new versions of WebGIS. The WebGIS of Voras Project and the City of Komotini will be provided with new functionalities and design. The WebGIS will be Open Source with a Mapserver Engine.  o A new WebGIS is "Under cunstruction" . It will present the Projects and references of the Infodim Company. It will be available in REST architecture with OpenLayers. o Infodim Company will take place at the OGRS 2009. In this context, from July 8th to 10th, 2009, during the tenth edition of Libre Software Meeting, IRTSV will organize a Research and Innovation Symposium about free and open source geospatial methods and technologies. The IRSTV, “Research Institute on Urban Sciences and Techniques” is a Research Federation founded by CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research) and the Ministry of Research. IRSTV is located in Nantes, (North west coast of France). Infodim will presents in a Showcase its experience with the use of free softwares like FARSITE and Cartoweb-Mapserver.
